Is there a way to get alerts via mail when someone modifies a AD security group? I need this for a specific group only and not for all the groups.

No, there isn't. You can't send an email notification when AD security group is modified.

However you can create a Scheduled Task that would perform a script that would compare previous group membership with the current one, find the differences and send them via email. That is the best way to solve your problem that I can think of.

There is also a solution called Adaxes that we are using to solve a similar problem. It can trigger actions, e.g. email notifications after practically any operation in AD. But to do that all the changes need to be performed via Adaxes itself. BTW it is also much simpler to create Scheduled Tasks in Adaxes, if you need it.
