I have two sites on IPV4 subnets, 172.28.0.0/16 and 172.27.0.0/24.
We had a server fall out of sync at the second site due to AD communication issues. This started back in August.
We deployed a new server, everything worked great for the first two days but now it fails.
RPC Server is unavailable.
From the primary site I cannot connect to the server for RMM, DNS managmenet or AD management.
It occurred to me this morning that there is no IPV6 communication between the sites (IPV6 is still APIPA).
The primary site has two server 2008 and one server 2012 domain controller while the second site has a server 2012 R2.
Question, is the lack of IPV6 the reason the servers will not communicate anymore? The promotion went off without a hitch.
