Hi, in DC or ADC (run -->type cmd --> type netdom query fsmo ) it's shows all on which server you have fsmo roles. for more information: http://www.petri.co.il/fsmo-roles-in-server-2008-active-directory.htmMohammed Imtiyaz Ali

1) If we have one DC and one ADC and we have to find which server is DC, so how to find which server is DC ? Starting from Windows 2000 there is no longer a PDC/BDC concept. All DC's are the same, instead of the 5 FSMO roles. The first installed DC will hold the roles and is also a Global catalog Server. 2) 2) Exchange Server 2010 is running on same network, If main DC goes down which problem we face in exchange. Exchange Server 2010 has service called Active Directory Topology service, which is completely dependent on the Domain Controller and all the other services of exchange relies on this service. If this service doesn't find the Domain Controller it will stop responding and hence all the other exchange services will be down. 3) How to check which server is hold FSMO roles? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324801 4) If main DC goes down and we have to transfer FSMO roles on ADC, How to transfer? If the main DC goes goes down and cannot be started due to what ever reasons then you will seize the roles Transfer of roles is done when the FSMO holder is alive and reachable by other dc's on the network http://www.petri.co.il/seizing_fsmo_roles.htm http://www.arabitpro.com
