Hello, if you have to AD environments (means you have an AD domain at work and an AD domain at home) you can use ADMT to migrate your AD objects (users, groups ...). If you want that this will be replicated without the use of migration then you have to add an additional DC at home (I don't think that your boss will accept that) and establish a VPN connection to your enterprise. If you want an AD test environment that is similar to the one you have at work, you can proceed like that: Add an additional DC with DNS and GC to your domain at work Isolate the new DC from all other DCs Resize FSMO roles on the new DC Perform a metadata cleanup on your productive DCs to delete the new DC Perform a metadata cleanup on your new DC to delete productive DCs Like that, you can construct a test environment that is similar to your productive environment. Note: If you proceed like that then never connect your new DC to your network as no interaction should be made with your productive environment. You need to provide more information. What are you trying to accomplish? Why do you need a DC at your home? Anyway, if you really need the same settings and configuration, you can add an additional DC for your existing domain. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc753720(WS.10).aspx I hope you have a network connection between office and home. Hello, this requires a domain with at least 2 domain controllers for the same domain, one at home and another DC at the working place. that way theyb can replicate new objects in AD. You have to connect them via VPN, router to router or with Layer 3 switches over the internet. If you are not the boss of the company i think you will not be allowed for this.Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.
