Hi good people. If asked why should an Active Directory Server be configured with a static IP address, what would be the best answer? Regards, TM

Hi Matomdo, Yes a production DC should always be configued with with a static IP address, it's really important for DNS that a static is present. If your just in the lab then you can get away with DHCP. In 99% of cases a static IP address is required for DNS as thats what really makes the sh*t work.
