Active - Active Hyper-V Stretch Cluster with Storage Replica

I'm working with this guide to create stretch hyper-v clusters:

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt126102.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396

I have 2 data centers connected with our own dark fiber. Basically we have one logical data center.

I'm planning to do the stretch cluster between the two locations. In the guide it looks like there is a preferred site and all VMs and storage live there.

I was wondering if anyone has done active-active where 1/2 the vms and storage live at one site and the other 1/2 live at the second site? Is this an option? or would the replication overhead be too much doing it both ways?

Thanks

You could definitely do that, but you would want 2 disks in this case.  Where one disk is owned by Site1 and the other is owned by Site2.  Then VMs access the storage.

For configuring Sites, you can do it at the VM level to achieve multi-active.  See this blog which discusses:

Thanks!
