Account behaviour
Hello, I wanted to know if the if the computer accounts with $ at the end (like mycomputer$) could behave like domain users accounts. Let's say, if a domain user has right to write on share for example. Is it possible that mycomputer$ could have the same right and write on share ? Thanks for your help. Regards. Etienne

Every security principal may have permissions on objects (files, folders, registry, AD, etc.). Since computer account is security principal it is possible to assign certain permissions for computer account. For example this is necessary when locally running service needs to write some data to a share. In this case you assign Write/Change permissions (NTFS and share permissions) for this computer account. My weblog: http://en-us.sysadmins.lv PowerShell PKI Module: http://pspki.codeplex.com Windows PKI reference: on TechNet wiki
