Access rights and ghost users.
Hello. After checking some access rights (right click on a folder ==> security) on windows XP, it seems like I have ghost users appearing with ID's like : S-1-5-21-1352455853-3469730024--1110. I cannot suppress them because they inherit of the access rights from the root folder, but they aren't even present in this folder. What should I do ?(I'don't want to disable the heritage). Thank you.

Hello, the SIDs that are listed are from deleted user accounts so you can safely delete them. Is that machine a domain member, then you can also check before on the DC with this tool if the account still exist:http://www.joeware.net/freetools/tools/sidtoname/index.htmBest regards
