A memory leak occurs in Svchost.exe when you apply or update Group Policy preference settings in Windows Server 2008 R2
There is an issue reported with Server 2008 regarding memory leak with svchost.exe. Reference http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2300745/en-us . I would like to know this is applicable for R2 version also?. Because we are experiancing simillar issue with R2 Standard Edition.

But I am afraid that you has not revealed the full truth about the history, configuration and application installed, as well as the role(s) of computer in your system. 2.
