A duplicate name exists on the network
Hi. Some of our users have started to receive the following message when starting their computer: "A duplicate name exists on the network". I have checked our Active Directory and theire is now dublicate name in the our domain To be sure, I did the following: Removed one ofthe affected computer from our Domain.Renamed the computerAdded the renamed computer into our Domain. Despite the affected computer has a new name, the error message still appers. We are running a mixed Wndows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008 enviroment. But the log on server is an Windows 2003 server. The users that experience this problem is all Windows XP with all updates installed. How can I solve this error message? Looking forward for the solution. Thank you in advance. Dag N
