ASR for VMWare - Configuration Server

Yesterday I tried to deploy a configuration server. No errors or anything, but the job never really started. In the late evening I tried again and the job seemingly started and completed. This morning there is still no configuration server (in the ASR vault under servers). I am deploying to a network in "North Europe". Are there any regional limits, or temporary issues, or am I perhaps doing something wrong?

I have tried this on two different subscriptions in different Azure accounts. Same result. For both I created an entirely new network.

I am following this guide: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/site-recovery-vmware-to-azure/

Need this for a demo on thursday, so any help is apprecia

Hi Anders,

Please let us know if you are creating CS in the same region as the ASR Vault?

I am assuming you followed all the steps in Step2 -Deploy Configuration Server?

Thanks

Shashank

@Sunil - Sadly none of the links you posted are of any help.

@Shashank - It is not possible to select a network in a different region than the vault. And yes I followed the first 5 steps in step 2 of the guide. The job completes without errors, but there is no configuration server in the vault afterwards.

Eventually the servers appeared in the "Virtual Machines" tab in the portal. Still not appearing under the recovery service. But MAJOR delay on them appearing in the portal.

Hi Anders,

Configuration Server is an Azure VM so it will be shown in the "Virtual Machines" tab in the Portal .

You can check the Configuration Server under Recovery Service vault once its get registered with ASR vault

Go to Vault > Servers tab >Configuration Servers
