Are you able to ping DNS server? if yes try putting FQDN while joining machine to domain.

1. In client NIC configuration there should be local domain DNS (not external public one!).

2. In addition to (1) sometimes domain suffix may help.

3. Use nslookup to trobleshoot DNS including resource records.

Dear Sreekanth,

Do the following steps.

  1. Check the IP Address of Client and Server (Client is configured with Static or Dynamic??)
  2. Please check the connectivity between Server and Client ( use Ping < Server Name >
  3. Make sure that you have assigned dnssuffix in NIC Properties and My Computer Properties.
  4. Type NSLOOKUP and check DNS is resolving or not .

Please do the above steps and post the result.
