AD Certificate Services Web Enrollment http://CAname/CertSrv no longer works - Service Is Not Available Error 503 - (on both of my CAs) 2008 and 2012 -
How can I get my Web enrollment service to start working again, It only worked the first day I installed the Certificate Authority, now both of my CAs have the same error - when i go to the web page http://CAname/certsrv I get . The Service Is Not Available errors. I have checked and all services are running. There has to be a way to restore my web enrollment to a default state or something, I really don't know IIS well, and can't seem to find any answers related to troubleshooting the Certsrv web enrollment engine. Please Help. I also have PKI errors in both Http locations for AIA and CDP - but thats another issue that Im working on now. CA web enrollment needs to be restored please help. Note: Network Service has execute permissions, and I have tried all the easily found troubleshooting answers. I think its something to do with IIS. Thanks

Thanks for replying, so I guess I can reinstall the Certificate Web enrollment role only, my Root CA is actually on a 2008 Server which is 32 bit so it cannot be upgraded to R2, but my server 2012 intermediate CA is also giving me this problem, so I will try to enroll the Certificate Authority Web enrollment and the enrollment policy service? I really don't understand the new "policy service" as I am used to working with Server 2008 before the CA web enrollment changed. Any more information anyone can point me to regarding this would be appreciated. I will go and reinstall the roles and be back to let you know what happened. Thanks again
