Does Windows Server 2012 R2 supports ADFS 2.0?

Since, we are planning to build a Mobile Application with claim based authentication leveraging ADFS STS. This application and authorization service will be working with ADFS 2.0.

So, need to know support of ADFS 2.0 on Windows Server 2012 R2

Any help would be much appreciated.

from the information you have provided in your post that application should work with AD FS on Windows Server 2012 R2 just fine. AD FS 2.0 itself cannot be run on Windows 2012 R2, other than in a virtual machine with Hyper-V.

The version of ADFS role on Windows Server 2012 R2 is 3.0.

AFAIK, you can't downgrade or choose which version to install as it will install the latest version automatically which in this case is 3.0 on Windows Server 2012 R2 .

Simply you can't with Windows Server 2012 R2.

I would agree with others.

ADFS is a role that you can install using the server manager or the powershell cmdlet.

You can't downgrade or choose which version to install.

I got that Windows Server 2012 R2 supports only ADFS 3.0.

Also, I would like to know whether ADFS 3.0 supports OAuth 2 Authentication?
