ACOS3 Smart Card with ACR38 (USB) Reader
As per the title, I have a hybrid ACOS3 smart card (mag+contact+contactless) that I'm trying to use with ACR38 & ACR120 (both USB) readers. I have setup the CA and requested certificates, etc. I am unable to write anything to them without a CSP as I understand, however, I'm not sure which middleware provider to go with (i've been wanting to try ActivID to manage my card but they refuse to respond to ANY of my emails). I'm so frustrated i'm about ready to sell the readers and the card. I really want to learn this technology and begin to master it so that i can eventually provide it as a solution to my area (I know of only one company within 150+ miles that can deploy them). This is a desperate cry for help as i've been trying to research this setup for a while (new to smart card technology) with no success. Also, do I need both the SDKs for the ACR38 and the ACR120? The only thing I see beneficial to either is that they come with formatting utilities for cards. I don't want to spend another $100+ for SDKs if i'm still unable to save my certs' to the card. PS - my test environment runs Server 2008 and should be ready to go, i also have linux servers sitting idle if they are easier to work with.
