A-Record results
Hi all ,
I have a small doubt regarding how to find the A-record as i have some 20 zones for DNS so what happen is many ppl are creating a A-record for the IP for which there is already a record insteated of creating CNAME, Take for example there is host name ankit.com
which is associated with IP 10.149.20.10 and some other request also come for the host name says gandhi.com wothout PTR so a person from team will create A-record instead of CNAME so now host name gandhi.com will also be pointng to 10.149.20.10, So
my question is how we can find from IP that it has two host name pointing to same IP. using NSlookup or any other way!. ankit gandhi

To find from IP that it has two host names pointing to same IP, you should have reverse
DNS lookup zones.

You need to export all the zones to a text file, CSV file etc. There are several different ways to do this using the DNS MMC, ADSI EDIT or dnscmd.exe.
After you have all zones in a single file you can simply sort by the IP Address column.
Here is another example of doing something similar.
