997 not generated

I've read through about 400 of the posts on this subject, tried anything that appeared relevant, all with no success.  This is a new install of BT2010 in a VM on a new server.  I've installed the software many times on other servers with no problems such as this.

Scenario:  Inbound X12 214 from b to a.

Both parties created with one agreement.  b to a aspect of agreement has 997 set to yes.

  1. Receive port picks up 214 with EDI receive pipeline successfully.
  2. Send port puts XML 214 into file for a successfully.
  3. Send port to b configured to pick up 997s from receive port and put into file for b.  Not working.

The receive port does not appear to be generating a 997 as no suspended message appears, which would be expected if the send port filter was incorrect.  No sign of a 997.

Party bindings are below.  Perhaps I'm blind in one eye and can't see out of the other, so please take a look.

Thx, Jim

First, disable the Fallback Settings.

Second, try creating a completely new Agreement.

Thx.  Disabling the fallback settings caused the inbound message to fail, which in turn gave me the clue I needed.  It always helps to use the right test file.  Not blind am I, just dumb.
