80072F8F Windows 2008 R2 again
Hi,
Sorry if I have put this in the wrong section, but this is my first post.
I have read many posts about this problem but none of the fixes seem to work for this situation.
I cannot seem to fix the Windows Update problem.
There are another 19 servers to build and I need to fix this problem asap.
The servers are Windows 2008 R2 x64, and I have manually added SP1 to one of them.
They have been joined to a domain, and the time matches my local time (Sydney Australia) to the second (based on timeanddate.com).
The root certificates have been compared with the list of essential certificates listed by this article (http://support.microsoft.com/?id=293781) and are all present.
Regsvr32 has been run on softpub.dll, mssip32.dll, and wintrust.dll.
System32\catroot2 and softwaredistribution\datastore were renamed with the crypto and window update service stopped.
I can browse the internet with Internet Explorer without any issues.
The WindowsUpdate log file does not seem to give specific enough clues to work out where this problem is coming from.
Thanks for any help.
Simon.

Hi Cecilia,
I have tried the solutions listed, but they did not work, or were not relevant (some talked about problems installing a downloaded update).
The files have been uploaded.
If you can have a look that would be good.
Thanks,
Simon.
