No, it isn't possible. No one (except administrators) should need the admin password for the server. If that's not the case then there is a design flaw in your architecture.Regards, Dave Patrick .... Microsoft Certified Professional Microsoft MVP [Windows]

So the solucion is to keep the server turn on 24 for 7 and if the power fails and im not here how can the workers turn on the server?

You seem to be implying that someone must power up the server and also logon to it. There is no reason for anyone to logon to server in order to use its resources. Regards, Dave Patrick .... Microsoft Certified Professional Microsoft MVP [Windows]

the problem is that this office is small 1 server and 5 pcs when I'm not here and there is a power failure or I'm on vacation or even those who arrive first in the morning turn on the server which requires that all users know administer password which can then if they want to install software on their pcs etc. inclusice compromising network security and I do not know what to do to overcome this problem.

I don't get it. Why do users need to logon to server machine? What does installing software on client machines have to do with server? What roles or function does this server perform?Regards, Dave Patrick .... Microsoft Certified Professional Microsoft MVP [Windows]

They need to have the server to enter the domain, they use applications that have the common database (SQL) is the server as well as folders and files that must be shared, in order to print to certain printers, make backup of files, so someone has to turn on the server ...

Yes, the server needs turned on (power applied) but none of the items you mentioned would require someone to logon to server machine console.Regards, Dave Patrick .... Microsoft Certified Professional Microsoft MVP [Windows]

The shutdown button is disabled for security reason. You need to grant at least following rights on DC:Shutdown the systemForce shutdown from remote systemThen use shutdown.exe remotely. How To Use the Remote Shutdown Tool to Shut Down and Restart a Computer in Windows 2000http://support.microsoft.com/kb/317371Since you use it every day I'd be inclined to not shut it down.
