2008r2 datacenter licensing question
hi there,
I've got a new server which came with OEM win2008r2 datacentre. The server has an OEM sticker with a "physical" and "virtual" serial number.
Its now a virtual server and as I understand it I can use that license to cover any windows virtual machines running on this server.
I've built a windows 2008 r2 standard VM and now need to activate it. I've tried the codes on the sticker but it doesn't work (presumably because thats for datacentre). How do I get the license code for the VM?
Cheers,
Al
