2008 foundation limitations
Does foundation edition limits concurrent web connections ? I want to install an application server and I wonder if going with 2008 Foundation Edition will limit client requests to future web services applications. I read for example that it has "5 Limited to 50 RRAS connections, 10 IAS connections." .. what does it mean ? Can you help me ? Is it safe to assume unlimited IIS connections purchasing Foundation Edition ? Thanks.

Hi Fabri, Network access connections (RRAS) - The Routing and Remote Access service (RRAS) in Windows Server 2008 supports remote user or site-to-site connectivity by using virtual private networking (VPN) or dial-up connections. Windows Server 2008 Foundation supports a maximum of 50 RRAS connections. I donot think there is any limitation on IIS connections. You can check these article. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/us/foundation.aspx http://www.petri.co.il/introduction-to-windows-server-2008-foundation.htm Thanks.
