I have a server using remote desktop to shut down or restart, found ping nowhere , and then i go in IT engine room find
the monitor not display ,wait a long time, this server can not be restarted and can not shut down ,but this server hard
disk, power supply Lights has been lit and fan have been working.
If i go in IT engine room not using remote desktop to go direct to restart and shutdown is normal
May I ask what is causing the

Hi,
Thanks for your post.
It may relate to the connection problem since you couldn't ping. Please try to ping from another machine.
It is possible the local machine is blocking the ICMP response (though this would be particularly unusual) as well as the web content.
Please also check:
Are Remote Connections allowed ?
Is the server fully updated?
Any errors in event logs?
