2008 R2 in VMWARE cant browse internet
windows server 2008 R2
Installed in vmware Esx 4.1 server
I can ping the DNS
i cant browse internet or update windows
Please help

To browse internet you should be able to reach the Gateway ? are you able to ping the gateway adress ?

Is DNS on your local network? IF yes try to ping the gateway, if that works, try to ping some punblic internet address for example 8.8.8.8. I would also check firewall rules (or ACL's) you have on your gateway are you sure that you allow traffic to port
80 from that server.With kind regards

Did you get the same issue with other VMs running on the same EXS server? Can you ping any website from the problematic VM?
