2008 R2 Access Network Shares
Interesting one, I'm seeing a difference in the way credentials are either passed or not passed when accessing a network share. I try to access network shares using the FQDN and IP on 2008 R2 servers (one with SP1 and the other without SP1).
Accessing a network share via 2008 R2 and 2008 R2 SP1 (Active Directory priviledges assumed).
2008 R2 - the user is not challenged when accessing a network share either via
\\fqdn or \\IP
2008 R2 SP1 - the user is challenged via \\fqdn but not via
\\IP
Any thoughts?

I have not understood well your question. However, it will be better to ask them here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winserverfiles/threads
