hello I'm a student at Thomas Edison high school of tech (MD) I'm in a IT networking class i wanted to take my studies home, but (my teacher and) Microsoft doesn't have seem to have a sp1 download or trial of 2003 r2 I know i can't afford 2008 r2. Does any of the staff at Microsoft have access to the ISO download link or ISO disk?

Hello, As you are student Why dont you go ahead and use trail version which will come for 180 days? Below is the link from where you can download it http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=11093 I would recommened you to start with windows server 2008 R2, as more features are added in this. as i will also be learning how to migrate server to server i think 2003 r2 sp1 or even 2003 will be the better choice

But if you have a MSDN subscription, you can download from this link. https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/securedownloads/default.aspx Ask your teacher for a Windows Server 2003 setup image.
