2003 SP2 cluster , how it work when the client set the cluster virtual ip address as dns server
i have a 2003 sp2 cluster, there are two node. the node A ip is 192.168.1.3 ,node B ip is 192.168.1.4 the cluster virtual ip address is 192.168.1.5 when the client set 192.168.1.5 as dns server , nothing can be resolved. but when i set 192.168.1.3 or 192.168.1.4 as dns server , everything is normal anything wrong with me or anything i need to do . thank you !

Hi Chen, Thanks for posting here. DNS services can be run on Network Load Balancing cluster hosts with no problem , It appears that the NLB might not been properly configured for DNS service , could you first your NLB settings, especially the Port Rules : How To Configure Network Load Balancing Parameters in Windows Server 2003 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/323437/ Thanks.
