...in Over my Head
I have recently taken on a job that was told to me that would be fairly simple thanks to Windows Server 2003 wizards and such. I need to set up one server to handle user data and security using Active Directory. I was told that this is done using the Domain Controller. I don't want to manage a domain website, I want to have users that log in at their thin clients to get their data from the Active Directory and then access their programs thru Terminal Services. Can someone please help me????

Is there already a Domain Controller on the network? If yes:
There is a lot coming extra to what you want
You need a Terminal Server install and LicenseServer (im not sure if you can run both on the same pc).
but basicly this is what you need to do:
Install the server then have it join the domain (this is for your user authentication in AD). Install Terminal Services and have a License Server installed. You can find Terminal Services in the software setup in windows.....
ps: licensing without a license server will run for 120 days
