The current "My Server" apps for WP8 and Win 8 do not appear to work with Server 2012 with Essentials role installed.
Neither connect. May be they will be up

Hey, Justin, the existing My Server apps don't support sign in to Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials (neither Essentials role on Server 2012) since they are targeted to WS 2012 Essentials (not R2). Essentials team are working on an updated version
of My Server apps for Server 2012 R2 and will publish them soon.
