Hi,

Try a start Outlook in safe mode and test the results again.

Click Start, point to All Programs, and then point to Microsoft Office. Press and hold the CTRL key, and then click Microsoft Outlook.

If the problem does not occur in the safe mode, this issue might be related to some third-party add-ins in the Office program, we can try to disable them.

If the problem persists in safe mode, try a new Outlook profile

==============

1.       Exit Outlook.

2.       Go to Start > Control Panel, click or double-click Mail.

3.       Click Show Profiles. Choose Prompt for a profile to be used.

4.       Click Add.

5.       Type a name for the profile, and then click OK.

6.       Highlight the profile, and choose Properties. Then Email Accounts.., add your email account in the profile.

7.       Start Outlook, and choose this new profile.

Can the problem be resolved?

Best Regards,

Sally Tang

I had the similar issue. When user tries to print any email, Outlook crashes and complaints about wwlib.dll is the faulting module. By default, Outlook uses office word as a editor and wwlib.dll file is for Word. So it means that nothing is wrong in Outlook.

  1. Check all add-ons in Word 2010 and disable all 3rd party add-ons.
  2. Close Outlook and Word if it is open and Reopen Outlook. And see if it crashes.

If it is still crashing, then most likely OS is not releasing the file handlers on wwlib.dll file.

Restart the machine and that should fix the issue.

It worked for me and I hope it works for you.

Thanks.

My situation was that customer could not send emails without Outlook immediately crashing.  Event log reported this same error pointing to OUTLOOK.EXE & wwlib.dll.

  1. We ran outlook in safe mode.
  2. scanned the .pst with scanPST tool.
  3. turned off ALL of the add-ins, and removed a couple of them completely.
  4. backed out the recent MS updates.
  5. Uninstalled some unsupported apps that had been installed.
  6. created new profile in Outlook.
  7. Followed advise from Technet,  MSDN, and SpiceWorks forums.
  8. cleared out temp files in App Data under his user profile directory.
  9. Ran CCleaner and cleared out more temps.
  10. upgraded to Office 2013

The fix?  The source of the problem was his signature file.  Something was corrupted.  Just on a whim, when i sent a test email that failed, I cleared out all of the signature from the bottom of the body of the message.  The email sent!  So we recreated the signature by copying the signature from an old sent email.  VIOLA!  SUCCESS!
