windows search

When I try to do a search with windows, it finds nothing.  Even files in the directory i am in.

do it thru CMD and the files are found.

To resolve this, follow the given below steps:

Click on Start Button >> Control Panel >> "Indexing Option" >> Click on Modify >> Select the check boxes for the location you want to index & Click Ok >> Advanced >> Rebuild

Hi rebarnas,

Based on your description, did you want to search the emails by Windows Search? Or all the files cannot be searched by Windows Search?

First of all please try the method of Clark Kent and check if it works for you.
