I recently had to reinstall windows vista. everything works well except I keep getting an error message for windows defender. Application failed to initialize 0x800106ba. a problem caused this program's service to stop..anyone know how to fix this?

hi there i attempted to remove windows defender however it is not showing up in the list of programs that can be removed. any other suggestions?
