will there be any impact for my users or external senders if authenticated users with read rights are removed from the security tab on c:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\Mailbox\address share folder?

Hi,

My management wants to tighten the security rights on the on c:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\Mailbox\address share folder. Will there be any impact on the mail delivery or other issues will occur for my users or external senders if authenticated users with read rights are removed from the security tab on the c:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\Mailbox\address folder?

It's hard to answer "What would happen if we did <something strange and nonstandard>?" questions.  My suggestion would be to try it and see.

Hi Ed,

Thanks for the reply. Does Microsoft KB has any updates on the security rights management on c:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\Mailbox\address share folder?

I tried to google but unable to find any useful info.

Mervyn

I would have to search for it like you say you did, and I'm pretty sure everyone else here would have to do so too.
