will autodiscover work in this case?
Hi all, Can you use the autodiscover feature for linked mailboxes ? Exchange 2007 and outlook 2007 (account in the forest A and linked mailboxes in forest B -resource forest) If I use the account in forest A to login and try to configure outlook2007, will autodiscover work or I have to manually configure outlook profile? Thank you.

Thank you for all links. In Forest A(account forest), there is no Exchnange 2007. How do I run set-clientAccessServer in Forest A? (or make ClientAccessServer appear in Forest A AD?) Thank you for the help.

find this link http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb332063(EXCHG.80).aspx#ConfiguringADMultipleForestsHowTo in the section How to Configure the Autodiscover Service When You Use Multiple Forests If you do not want to extend the schema in the user forest, you can update DNS in the user forest with a host record that points to the internal IP address of the Client Access server in the resource forest where Autodiscover is hosted. I tried the above, it did not work, What might I miss? Thank you.

Hi, Could you telnet the 389 port of the resource forest? You can use www.testexchangeconnectivity.com to test the results. Thanks AllenAllen Song

Just wonder one DNS entry is enough? Thank you.
