when will it be fixed?!

Hi all

I wonder when will MS gonna fix the issue of weekday in Outlook?

Myself and many others around the world report on a week that start on Sunday and ends on Thursday, accordingly MS outlook should have the flexibility to set Sunday as the first weekday.

The Problem, if an appointment set to reoccur  on the first weekday of the month and if its happens to be on Sunday, MS Outlook will automatically shift the appointment to Monday?! that just wrong and I didn't find any effective workarounds...

any help....

Have you already opened a case with Microsoft Support for this?

Monday - Friday remain the weekdays and Saturday and Sunday remain the weekend days no matter what your workdays are. That are just the definitions of weekdays and weekends so Outlook isn't doing anything wrong.

If you want more flexibility in the Recurrence options, then it is best open a support case with Microsoft to register your feature request. When opening a support case, you may be asked to supply your credit card information but this of course won't be charged for feature requests.

that's exactly the problem " Monday - Friday remain the weekdays and Saturday and Sunday remain the weekend days no matter what your workdays are" having no ability to redefine such definition of the weekdays and weekend days is wrong. weekdays and weekends definition do differ from country to country and from region to region and outlook should have been design to accommodate such differences.

this issue was identified since long by many others, however and until date no action has been take by MS to resolve as on date...!

Being identified is not the same as being reported or requesting it to get fixed.

Again; Open a support case for this with Microsoft Support and submit it as "Unexpected behavior" or as a "Feature request". When you properly log the case, you'll get a case number and eventually receive feedback about it (or you can request it by referencing your support number). This could be a "won't fix" for the time being but when the "many others" also reported this, your support case could also be the one which pushes it to "will fix" list.

Just to be sure; You do have your Country and Region settings in Windows properly set to a country that doesn't have a Mon-Fri work week? Outlook also uses this information to determine the first day of the week and how the week numbers are counted. You can set this in Control Panel-> Clock, Language and Region-> Region
