You need a reverse DNS record for the external IP of you Exchange Server. Check this out: http://joserebellon.wordpress.com/.

Assuming the ISP manages your external DNS, you need the noral complement of DNS resource records for the domain (SOA and NS). For e-mail you'll also need a MX and A record and a PTR for the IP address your Exchange server uses to send e-mail. The name on the PTR should match the name in the corresponding A record. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

You can manage the PTR records if you manage the in-addr.arps DNS zone for your network. >2.the difrence between smtp relay & smtp domain . A domain is just a name. A relay is a SMTP server that will accept messages for a domain and the send (relay) them to the next hop. >3.after registering domain name mx record will update in my private server or ISP server. It will update the DNS zone on any server that's a primary or secondary DNS for the zone. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
