vista rww issues
Hello newsgroup, I am having an issue connecting a users Vista Home edition laptop to my SBS2003 server. The laptop in question is running Windows Vista home, Norton Internet Security 2007, Windows firewall is turned off. I can connect to the RWW. I cannot get the computer to connect to the desktop. This machine had previously been able to connect to the desktops. The user "doesn't know what happened" it just started not working. I have enabled all communications in the Norton Firewall between the laptop and my server. I can authenticate to my firewall and enable all the necessary protocols. I can authenticate to the SBS2003 server and get to the RWW. When I attempt to access the client desktop, I get the full window screen but no logon dialog box. I do eventually get an error message. VBScript: Remote Desktop Disconnected - An internal error has occurred. I have tried to search for an answer, but I could not find any of relevance. As stated preeviously, I have (or think I have) enabled the Norton firewall to accept any connections in or out to the domain in question. I can connect just fine with XP. The XP machine does not have the Norton product installed. I am not sure whether tis is a Vista issue or a Norton issue. I thought maybe someone here may have had the same problem and be able to provide a solution. Thank you for reading this and I hope someone may have had a similar issue. If you require any more information, please let me know. Thanks again, Steve
