using email address as the username in exchnage 2007
Hi I have a exchange server running multiple domains, I want to use the email address as the login name for the account. I have seen this done. Can u guys please let me know how to do this. I am running exchange 2007, without SP1 Regards Kanishka

how about doing a get-user to return the upn then piping that off to a set-emailaddress cmdlet?

this does not work, i have seen many shared hosting comapnies doing this. any idea how ?

Do you have the SMTP domain defined in AD as an alternative UPN suffix? (Open Active Directory Domains and Trusts and edit the properities on the root object (not the forest name, but the top level) and you'll see the UPN Suffixes tab. Add your SMTP domain name to this list.) Now that domain will be a choice in the User logon name suffix drop-down list on the Account tab of any user account properties.
