users deleted in AD showing up in GAL
Server 2003, Exchange 2003, Outlook 2003/7 clients We have users deleted in AD still showing in GAL. What is recommended way to remove users from GAL? Regards, Anastas

The OAB us usually updated only once each day, and the changes are usually downloaded to the Outlook client when it first connects to the mailbox. Hi, Additional information: When running outlook in cached mode, Offline Address book will be used instead of GAL. You can run the outlook in online mode to check if the GAL is display correctly: 1. Click Tools->Options->Mail setup tab->E-mail Accounts. 2. Highlight the outlook account, click Change. 3. Uncheck the "Use Cached Exchange mode" checkbox and restart the outlook. 4. Restart Outlook. Do you still see the deleted user?

Thanks to everyone for their replies. I am definitely using the GAL. The account did not appear in GAL today, so maybe there is some kind of delay? Just to confirm then, deleting a user in AD will lead to their removal from GAL, and is a supported method of doing this?
