users can log on to RPC over HTTPs without entering a domain name
Hello Team, I have SBS 2003 single server , my users are connecting exchange server using RPC over HTTPS. But every time users are enter the domainname\username in outlook clients to connect RPC over https. How to connect RPC over HTTPs wihtout enter domain name while loggin outlook client. Please provide any articles or steps to resolve this issue? How to configure Exchange Server 2003 so that users can log on to RPC over HTTPs without entering a domain name?

Hello Try to configure the outlook profile using NTLM authentication. NTLM can use the current Microsoft Windows® operating system logon information where as Basic authentication requires the user to enter domain, user name, and password You can see the difference between the basic authentication and NTLM http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996225(EXCHG.65).aspx Thanks MhussainThanks Mhussain

Hello Team, Issue Resolved : 1 changed the authentication of RPC virtual directory to Basic , Windows Integrated (NTLM) 2 Entered the Default domain (domainname.local) 3 Ran IISRESET 4 Able to connect to RPC over HTTPs without enter the domain name.
