There are a few checks that you could run. 1. Check whether the user has recurring / duplicate appointments in the calender amounting to high item count 2. Check whether after exporting the calender to a pst; removing the calender from the users' outlook and importing the calender back changes the item count and 3. Move the mailbox of the user to a different store and check ( if there are any errors or discrepancies, they are left behind while moving the mailbox )

thanks for the input! basically I did step two and the count went from 105k items to 52k items still very high. The user did have recurring items in the calendar but I don't know how they could add up to 53k items! The numbers sound strange they are basically half the 105k total52k -> 53k very stumped on this! The next largest item count for a user on our server is 12k the average is 4k! tr

Clarify: the total number of messages is higher than normally in the calendar Collect info: 1. Which type of mail account does user use, exchange account or POP3? If its exchange account, which mode does user use, cache mode or online mode? 2. Confirm version: exchange and outlook Troubleshooting: Use MFCMAPI to confirm the count of calendar, it can see mailbox in raw data a. Launch MFCMAPI on users client PC b. Session menu->choose Logon and Display Store Table->choose affected users profile in jumped window c. On the top-pane, double-click users mailbox and go to next window d. In the next window->expand Root Container->expand IPM_SUBTREE->double-click Calendar e. Use Shift button and mouse to select all items f. Check the number of items in the right-below corner status bar Explanation: The RMTable property limits the number of appointments that can be saved on a Calendar to 1360 appointments or to 32 KBs of appointment data. Microsoft recommends that we do not exceed this limitation in a Calendar folder file. As when its exceeded we are not able to guarantee results nor can we say when you will begin to run into problems.
