Hi User can be seen in active directory Email addresses tab is missing from the user properties Under the exchange general , servername which is listed does not have the mailbox I tried to configure the user profile , but name is not getting resolved Name is not visible in the global address list I sent an email to the user , and there was no NDR received When we click on the mailbox rights in the user properties , there is an error message Unable to read security information from the directory ID no CI033028 microsoft active directory -exchange extension user's mailbox has to be moved to another storage group . On attempting to do that , it does not show the move mailbox option and only displays the option remove attributes . Person who is trying to move the mailbox has administrator rights Any ideas .

quote "On attempting to do that , it does not show the move mailbox option and only displays the option remove attributes " Yes, this account only have the exchangde attribute so you need to remove exchnage attriubte then again create mailbox. Use the Disable-Mailbox cmdlet to disable the mailbox of an existing user or object and remove that object's Exchange attributes from Active Directory http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997210.aspx Anil MCC 2011,ITIL V3,MCSA 2003,MCTS 2010, My Blog : http://messagingschool.wordpress.com

Hi Anil I removed the exchange attributes and created a new mailbox . I sent an email to the user's mailbox but the mailbox was still not visible in exchange system manager . I have yet not configured the outlook profile , in fact at the time of creating the profile , the name is not getting resolved . I will check again , if the mailbox is visible in the exchange system manager . In case , it is not visible . What next step would you suggest .
