user at different site
Hi All, currently I have this environment: 1 site (A) : AD + Exchange 2010 SP1 (X), the Exchange server and AD+user physically located at different location. then I'm planning to create a new site (B) and promote 1 AD and move (X) to the new site. Is there any issue with it, what major things that I have to deal/concern about ? Because the user at site (A) will not have Exchange, and will trying to access it to site (B) ?Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. As long as the moved Exchange server has registered in DNS and there is a local GC at site B then you should be OK. User will be connecting across the link. I assume you will create the relevant AD sites too.Sukh

Hi, You must Deploy GC with Cas Server Role In Every AD Site. Cause In Exchange 2010 Every Client Connects To Cas Server Instead Of Mailbox Servers like Exchange 2007. You will Face Client Disconnecting Issue Where your CAS Server isnt Exist. Thanx Sushant

Create a new CAS Array for your new site and add in the Exch server which was moved. You may have to remove it from the current CAS array in the previous site.Sukh

Hi Sukh, Already done that, still not work. I've check the domain controller and global catalog servers, it still using DC at the old site, how to change it. I've already set statically but didn't work. The event ID 2080 only discover the DC that located at old site. Get-ClientAccessArray |fl Also, after you have created the new array, have you updated the RPCClientAccess value on the mailbox databases?Sukh

If you're moving your Exch from one site to another then you shouldn't have this issue as you've go the CAS installed on Exchange anyway. "You must install the Client Access server role in every Exchange organization and every Active Directory site that has the Mailbox server role installed." http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124915.aspxSukh
