Dear Techies, In our environment we are running exchange server 2000 in win 2000 server platform and the AD is also in win 2000 server, now we want to upgrade the os to win 2003 server and also exchange server to 2003, can anybody explain me the procedure to update the exchange server OS, which server we have to update first exchange or AD. thanks in advance for your valuable support. hi, firstly upgrade the Exchange Server 2000 to Exchange Server 2003. HI Normal scenario is update Active directory first and then upgrade Exchange server. But here have a problem because Exchange 2000 doesnt work with Windows 2003 Active directory. SO you must upgrade Exchange server first. I have attached how to upgrade exchange 20003 in place upgrade on above post. Remember that Applications has to be upgraded prior to OS. in our case the application is ExchangeVinod
