unique sequence number for each incoming message
Hi,
I hope this is the right forum for this question.
I am looking for a way to assign a unique sequence number for each
incoming message and to get this number presented in Outlook. For
instance, can it be added to the subject line? Can this be implemented
via a rule in exchange? Do you know of an already available solution
for this?
Thanks in advance for any response.

Hi,
Which version of Exchange do you use? In Exchange 2007 you can useTransport Rules to append static text in subject line but it doesnt allow to use dynamic text (something like to add sequence number).
You may need to use some third party software or develop custom transport agentto get it done but it requires programming knowledge. You may post this query in Development forum to get better idea from Exchange programmers.
