undeliverable from deleted user when submitting a meeting request
When submitting a meeting request to a certain user in my organization, weget an undeliverable saying that the e-mail account does not exist. Theemail account that it references is from a former employee whose account hasbeen deleted for over a year. The person who was invited to the meetingstill gets the request and is able to accept/decline, but the senderreceives the undeliverable back immediately. I logged in to the invitee'smailbox but haven't found that there were any delegation or permissions granted to thedeleted user. I have also check in AD for delegations but nothing. I have also tried removing outlook from cache and didn't work either. Is there anywhere else I can look for occurence ofthe deleted users' account? Or anything else I can do to troubleshoot this issue?
Note: We are running Active/Passive Exchange 2003 Cluster the clients are Outlook 2003. Dc's are windows 2003 DFL/FFL is 2003 native mode.
Thank you.

That user is likely a delegate or alternate recipient on
someone else's mailbox. This also can be caused by "Lingering Links" in
mail-enabled groups, but this is less likely, IMO.-- Ed Crowley
