unable to see archive option - Outlook 2010 Exchange 2010 SP1

Hello everyone,

I cannot see archive option of 2 of the users. When these users log on to another machine then the option can be seen, so it means that there is something to do with the setting of the machine. We are using Office Standard 2010. And both these user can see their personal archive. So please let me know what could be wrong as no one is supposed to use personal archives in our environment.

Hello,

Due to the Group Policy, might be your administrator has been disabled Archive Function in both of yours MS Outlook 2010 account. So, you have to contact your administrator to enable Archive Function.

It is not definitely a group policy because the group policy will be implemented on the OU and we have other machines in the same OU that does not have this issue. I contacted the administrator and he does not know the reason for this too.

Did you open the link and read the article carefully?

There might be another reason for unable the archive option in your MS Outlook is when you have an Exchange 2010 account and Online Archive has been enabled for you on the Exchange server. In that case, Outlook 2010 will automatically disable the client-side archiving options and archive according to corporate policies set on the Exchange server.
