unable to recover deleted Public Folder
HiI'm unable to recover deleted Public Folder from OWA/Outlook/PFDAVAdmin utilities.PFDAVAdmin error:"An unexpected error occured.Exception: The remote server returned an error: (409) Conflit." Regards

Hi, What version you are using for exchange and OWA/outlook. Are you able to see deleted public folder in recover deletd itemsI belive you are using exchage 2007 in your ENV.. 1. In some cases, anti-virus software on the server will trigger error (409) Conflit, please try to disable the AV temporarily and try to recover again 2. Please try to use MFCMAPI to recover the deleted public folder a. Launch MFCMAPI on your client PC that have domain admin account and its outlook profile created, the account must have the following permissions Administrative permissions on the Exchange Server computer Local admin group Full Exchange administrator rights b. Session menu->choose Logon and Display Store Table->choose profile in jumped window (dont need to choose if theres only one profile on client) c. Double-click Public Folders on the top-pane d. In the next window, expand Public Root->IPM_SUBTREE-> Department-> JobName e. Right-click the JobName folder, select Open Deleted Sub Folder Table f. In the next window, expand the JobName folder, we shall see that deleted public folder, right-click it and select Restore Deleted Folder Anil

Yes, Anti-virus software would be the possible cause And another possible cause is, the user running the recovery didnt have the permissions to read some of the nested child folders, please try to recover the deleted public folder by using MFCMAPI Notes: Download the latest MFCMAPI

Do you have dedicated PF server? In PFDAVADMIN connect to specific public folder server. and then use the credential which had owner rights. and then try to recover the PF'sVinod |CCNA|MCSE 2003 +Messaging|MCTS|ITIL V3|
