unable to access auto attendant to record greetings via phone

Hello everyone,

I enabled "TUIPromptEditingEnabled" on my single dial plan to allow recording of greetings via telephone.  When dialing an auto attendant, I am able to hit pound (#) and star (*) to bring up the prompt to enter my extension.

However, the system states that "The extension number you entered ..12345.. isn't correct."  When I enter a completely invalid extension (e.g. 09999), it says a different message, so it must be recognizing *something* about it.

Other than this, voicemail access on all extensions, and autoattendants, works fine.  Any ideas?

Thanks!

Phil

EDIT:  There are no errors at all in the event log  I turned up UM logging to Expert and only get this in the logs when putting in my extension (or anyone elses).  Again, these extensions are valid for every other activity and have associated mailboxes.

The telephone interface is starting activity "Type: Microsoft.Exchange.UM.UMCore.Menu, ID: 0PP_EnterExtension" for the call with ID 6fffcc80-55511e06-18da-5132200a@10.32.50.81.

Do you use the phonenumber of the user who are enable to speak the prompts? Is this user enabled for Exchange UM?

Have you done all these steps?
