time sync issue.
Hi, Actually our domain controller is running on windows 2008 server. And we are using +5:30 Mumbai, Calcutta and Delhi time zone. I have noticed that our time is lagging behind 5 minutes. How can i fix this issue as our mail server is getting effected by it. Its showing mails reaching to our inbox at wrong time. How can i correct this problem and what effects it will have on exchange 2007 server. I also tried to check daylight settings but windows says that daylight settings are not available for your time zone. Thanks.

You could check this article:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/816042How to configure an authoritative time server in Windows ServerOnce corrected, Exchange itself will be fine. This is really a Windows specific issue, so if you have any further questions, please ask in the Windows forums:http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/category/windowsserver/

Normally the PDC emulator on the domain should get sync from windows.time.com. All your member server should sync with this PDC.For all other DCs, member servers and workstations, configure the W32Time service to use its default settings as follows:1. Stop the w32time service2. Run w32tm /unregister && w32tm /register at the command prompt3. Start the w32time serviceFollow this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/816042If you have any external hardware clock follow this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/816042Raj
