test-outlookwebservcies and account
If you run the test-outlookwebservices with no parameters how does it determine which account is used to run tests? Especially if you have never run the new-testcasconnectivityuser.ps1 script? And even if you have run the script why would it use a different account?

Hi, In fact I am not familiar with code. I found some information may help you. AS I known, if you run test-outlookwebservices with no parameters, it will get the default values from the Autodiscover service. Here is a link about how to create a SCP http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms675771.aspx I think the “szAccount” should be the default account which used to run. If you open new-testcasconnectivityuser.ps1 with notepad, you will found this: $username=”extest_” +$adsiteguidLeft13 It is the user that was created when you run the new-testcasconnectivityuser.ps1. The account name is a hash value of the site name. It is more secure. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Well I had an issue where it was using the test cas user account as the default account but it was having issues that appeared to be related to the account. So I deleted the account and reran the new-testcasconnectivityuser script to recreate it. However instead of using the new test user I just created as the default its now using a different account entirely. How do I change it to use the test cas user?

Anybody have more info on this? How do you change the default account used when you run these tests w/o specifying an account?

Why can't you specify an account (with the -identity parameter)? http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124509.aspx Why is not specifying an account a condition for using this?

As I understand the Identity parameter specifies an recipient e-mail address. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. I understand how to use the -identity parameter but it doesn't address my question on the strange behavior that I observed here. Why would the DEFAULT account used to run the test arbitrarily change and how do I change it back to the cas test account created when running the new-testcasconnectivityuser.ps1?
